Clindamycin is indicated for the treatment of:
- Infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, bronchitis, pneumonia and lung abscess.
- Infections of skin and soft tissue infections including acne, furunculosis, impetigo, infected wounds, erysipelas, and scarlet fever.
- Gynecological infections, salpingitis, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease when administered together with an appropriate antibiotic against gram-negative aerobes, spontaneous vaginal infections
PRECAUTIONS: Because it has been shown in vitro antagonism between clindamycin and erythromycin should not be used both drugs together.Derived from the presence of pseudomembranous colitis may occur persistent diarrhea after 2 or 3 weeks of treatment with clindamycin, which is why it is necessary to stopping the medication. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Oral.

recommended oral dose is 37.5 mg 3 times daily.
